For this reason, the carbon content of fly ash used for lime-sand bricks for machine-made bricks is generally controlled at no more than 10%. The carbon content of fly ash is related to the type of boiler used. The carbon content of fly ash discharged by medium-pressure boilers is 5% to 10%, and that of high-pressure boilers is 2% to 5%. Under the normal operation of the coal mill in the power plant, the carbon content of the fly ash will not exceed the control value, and it can be used as the raw material for the production of bricks by the lime-sand brick machine.
Dry fly ash can retain soluble active substances, better than wet fly ash. Pure quicklime is white, with different iron content, it is yellow and red; overfired quicklime is dark gray; underfired quicklime is yellow, and the surface is silty. The main chemical composition of quicklime is CaO, with a content of 65% to 95%; followed by MgO, with a content of 0.5% to 8.5%; in addition, it also contains a small amount of SiO2, Fe2O3, Al2O3, etc. The advantages and disadvantages of quicklime directly affect the quality and cost of lime-sand brick machine bricks.
